I just wanted to point out that the eggshell does contain pores to regulate respiration. It's not airtight or completely sealed from air getting in and out. But I think the Shaikh probably meant it's airtight in the sense that only "air" can have movement in and out of the egg and nothing else. I don't know which Arabic word got translated to mean "airtight" but I am guessing, the general sense was that miracles, and engineering of the "egg" is too perfect to be just random. God knows best.
